Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), Islamabad has issued a Public Notice calling for online applications for the MCQs Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the CSS Competitive Examination-2027. Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree (Second Division). The age limit is 21 to 30 years on the cutoff date of 31st December 2026, with a two-year age relaxation admissible to specified categories under Rule 6. Qualifying MPT is mandatory for applying and appearing in the main CSS CE-2027 examination. The MPT test will be held on 27th September, 2026 (Sunday) across 19 cities. The non-refundable examination fee is Rs. 250/-, payable via 1-Link facility using ATMs, mobile banking apps (Easypaisa, JazzCash, etc.), internet banking, or over the counter at 1-Link member banks using a generated 16-digit PSID (old FPSC Challan Forms TR-6, cheques, or bank drafts are not accepted). Online applications must be submitted on the FPSC official website (www.fpsc.gov.pk) well before 20th August, 2026. Admission certificates can be downloaded at least 10 days prior to the test.
