District Education Officer (Special Education) Gujranwala is inviting applications from eligible candidates (Male, Female, and Transgender) residing in Punjab for engagement as School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Special Education Institutions across Gujranwala Division (District Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, and Hafizabad) under the STI Policy. Qualifications & Criteria: - Senior Special Education Teacher (BS-17) (HI, MC, VI Fields): M.A., M.Ed., or BS (1st Division / Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (Hearing Impaired, Mentally Challenged, Visually Impaired) from an HEC recognized university. Certificate of proficiency in Braille required for VI Field. - Junior Special Education Teacher (BS-16) (HI, MC, VI Fields): M.A. or BS (2nd Division / Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university. Certificate of proficiency in Braille required for VI Field. - Computer Teacher (BS-16): BS in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or Software Engineering or equivalent qualification from an HEC recognized university. Age Limits & Relaxations: Base Age: 21 to 28 Years. Relaxation: Male up to 05 years, Female up to 08 years, Disable Persons up to 15 years (with disability certificate). Terms & Monthly Honorarium: - Monthly Honorarium: BS-16: Rs. 40,000/- | BS-17: Rs. 50,000/- - Engagement is purely temporary, school-specific, non-transferable for a duration of 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during Financial Year 2026-27 or till arrival of regular incumbents.
