University of the Punjab Lahore invites applications from highly accomplished, dynamic, qualified and motivated Pakistani nationals for faculty appointments under Basic Scale (BS). HEC eligibility criteria will be observed for these appointments, available on HEC/Punjab University website. Advertisement No. 1/2026. The appointments are for Associate Professor (Package BS-20) and Assistant Professor (Package BS-19) at Institute of Punjabi & Cultural Studies, both under Punjab quota with one post each. Applications are to be submitted online only through Punjab University online job portal at http://jobs.pu.edu.pk/. Applications other than online shall not be accepted. Schedule for submission starts from 14.05.2026 and closing date is 25.06.2026. According to Punjab Defined Contribution Pension Scheme Rules 2025, fresh recruitments in the university shall be governed under this pension scheme as per decision of the competent forum of the University, i.e. Syndicate and Senate. Applicants already working on BPS within or outside the University applying through proper channel will also be governed under old BPS pension rules.
